It's Official

The Parishes have the worst luck in the world.

I'm sitting in a hotel lobby in Ohio. I'm just glad there's a computer I can get to, with halfway decent internet access, because I'm going to be stuck with it for a while.

You see, yesterday we went for a 'fun-filled family ride'. Really, Mom said that. And when we were about half an hour from our hotel, our van broke down. And it won't be fixed until Monday. So. At least I have reading material.

Happy Easter to us.

On the upside, so far I've taken about three hundred pictures. Can't put them up yet, but I've got them.

I'm depressed.

Cheers,
McKenna

...wow...

I'm sorry. I hope you guys have a good family fun weekend. Surely Shannon and Wesley will say enough goofy things to make a whole page of mis-speaks to put on the blog...

look on the bright side, Shannon: you don't have to stay there for a full week! And besides, when you come back, you'll get to see me! What could possibly make you happier?

Laura

P.S. Don't answer that.

I know, McKem=nna - I was depressed, too. It seems like my notions of family fun often turn out to be complicated I-want-to-forget-this-ever-happened sort of events. I think God has spent the last 20 years developing a healthy sense of humor in Dad and me. Is humor a spiritual gift? Keep writing, darlin'. You're brilliant and you will have a whole memory book full of stories to put into print for your own posterity someday....as for me?...I will keep providing you with material!

Love you, precious one,

The Mom
